It is kind of outside in a greenhouse thingy. Rumford fireplace opening about a foot taller than other fireplaces. Then they don’t draw any better than regular low fireplaces. I can shut when the fire is low but the damper still has to remain open to vent the smoke. I wonder if running a vent pipe to into the bottom of our indoor fireplaces would be beneficial. However they produce an awful lot of heat as built. I have never seen one of those really heat a house like an insert or wood stove will.
